Traveling Exhibition Opportunities
We invite museums across the country to bring the American experience of Currier & Ives to your visitors. Many of the more than 750 prints from the Lenore B. and Sidney A. Alpert Collection are available for loan.
Exhibitions, consisting of 20 to 50 framed images, showcase some of the firm’s most popular subjects.
Themes include: The Artistry of Currier & Ives; Liberty and Justice; Currier & Ives’ Greatest Hits; Currier & Ives and the Rise of the Mass Media; The American Home; Leisure and Recreation in the 19th Century; The Civil War; City and Country Life; and American Scenic Wonders.
Staff at the Springfield Museums would be happy to assist you in developing an exhibition to meet your needs. For more information about this unique opportunity, please contact Heather Haskell, Director of the Springfield Art Museums, at 413-263-6800, ext. 353, or through email at: hhaskell@springfieldmuseums.org.
